Ordering Duplicate Diplomas & Transcripts
Please Note: It is your responsibility to confirm that all grades and degrees are posted before you place your order. We will not issue refunds, nor, send out duplicate transcripts because of missing information.

Option 1 - Official Digital Diploma

For the fastest service you can order a official digital copy of your Stony Brook University Diploma through Parchment. Emailed diplomas are sent in a secure PDF format. Official digital diplomas are typically sent within two business days, if not sooner. If you are a recent gradaute please make sure that your degree has been posted on your transcript in SOLAR before ordering. Order Directly from Parchment Check the Status of your Parchment Request

For the fastest service, order your Stony Brook University transcript to be sent via first class mail or email through Parchment. Email transcripts are sent in PDF format. Official electronic transcripts are typically sent within thirty (30) minutes of authorization. Mailed transcripts are sent to the U.S. Postal Service within 3 to 5 business days. Order Directly from Parchment Attachments can be uploaded and sent with your transcript. Please note: For NYS Teaching Department requests that need additional information, please create an attachment with the needed information. When you request your transcript upload the attachment to be sent with the request. Option 2 - Official Express Paper Transcript
$30 per Transcript Domestic or $44 per Transcript International
Students who need detailed coursework (Ex: AP, Internal coursework, etc.) should order an "Official Transcript w/Detail". Paper transcripts are sent using US Postal Service First Class Mail Delivery or FEDEX. Current students and alumni with access to SOLAR should log into SOLAR and submit your request from the Student Records & Registration tab, click on Academic Records then select Transcripts Order an Express Transcript. Former students and Alumni may need to obtain their Stony Brook ID #. You can do this online with your old campus ID number or your Social Security Number. If attachments need to be sent with your paper transcripts, please email the attachment to registrar_office@stonybrook.edu

Official Mailed or Electronic Transcript for Dental Students
$10 per Transcript
CURRENT DDS STUDENTS: Students from the School of Dental Medicine can now request electronic transcripts to be emailed through Parchment.
Step 1: Fill out the Electronic Transcript Request Form to notify the Office of Education that you would like to request an electronic transcript via Parchment Service.
Step 2: After submitting the Electronic Transcript Request Form, you must wait to receive an approval email from the Office of Education. Once approved, you can then visit Parchment directly to order an electronic transcript.
Current students with access to SOLAR should log into SOLAR and submit your request from the Student Records & Registration tab, click on Academic Records then select Transcripts Order Standard and eTranscript.
If you do not have access to your SOLAR account, you will need to Order Directly from Parchment. There, you will need to create an account, and you will then be able to enter the email address of where you would like your transcript sent.
Timeline: Email transcripts are sent in PDF format. Official electronic transcripts are typically sent within 24-48 hours of authorization. Order Directly from Parchment Check the Status of your Parchment Request

If you do not have access to your SOLAR account, you will need to Order Directly from Parchment. There, you will need to create an account, and you will then be able to enter the email address of where you would like your transcript sent.
